New Research Tools to Empower AI Agents and Scientific Exploration
The potential of AI should not be limited by opaque systems and scattered data. At Intelligent Internet, we are committed to breaking down these knowledge barriers to create a shared foundation for a more open and reliable AI future. Building on our previous II-Commons Wave 2 release, we are announcing three major updates that will transform how researchers and AI Agents interact with vast scientific literature.
Official Release of the PubMed Dataset
We are expanding our focus from physics and computer science into the life sciences. The II-Commons PubMed dataset is now officially available. This high-quality biomedical dataset will bring new research opportunities and breakthroughs to the community.
Introducing a Comprehensive Search Service with Multiple Access Options
To provide an out-of-the-box experience, we are launching a powerful and comprehensive search service built on our released datasets. This is more than a simple search engine. It serves as a [Knowledge Grounding] tool for you and your Agents, designed to help you quickly and accurately identify the most valuable information.

To ensure accessibility and flexibility, we offer several ways to use the service, making it easy for both researchers and developers to get started:
- Web Service and Agent Sample: An interactive web service with an embedded Agent sample demonstrates how to use the system for intelligent retrieval.
- Full Suite of API Endpoints: To support programmatic and deep integration, we are releasing a general-purpose API, MCP, and A2A interface.
You will need to register for an II account to access these services. The service is currently in beta and free to use. A small token-based fee may be introduced in the future as the platform scales.
With these tools, Agents can now access and locate data with greater precision. This improvement enhances research productivity and represents an important step forward in making Agents more capable and intelligent.
Common Ground Status Update: Current Progress
Following our last Common Ground release, our development continues as we move into the next phase of the product.
Current Agent interaction models are often linear and isolated, relying on basic question-and-answer exchanges. This structure makes it difficult to accumulate team insights and to solve complex problems that require multi-dimensional exploration. Common Ground aims to change this by enabling deeper alignment between humans and AI.
We are building a shared cognitive space where AI is an active thinking partner rather than a passive tool. In this space, AI can participate in brainstorming, solution-building, and critical evaluation alongside human collaborators. Our approach captures the full process of collaboration, including discussions, iterations, and decisions, and converts it into reusable and traceable knowledge.
Our goal is to make Common Ground a collaborative hub of thought that helps teams refine information into knowledge. We remain dedicated to this vision and will continue to share updates on our progress.
Stay tuned for future releases from II-Commons and Common Ground as we continue moving toward a new era of human and AI collaboration.
